ICE FOE® has undergone rigorous testing in the Strategic Highway Research Program, where it outperformed calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, sodium chloride, and their blends in terms of melting effectiveness.
Ice melt comparisons measured in milliliters using the H-205.1 testing method set up by the SHRP (Strategic Highway Research Program). Ice melters were tested at 15°F for 20 minutes.
Long-Lasting and Residue-Free Ice Melter:

Application Guidelines:
For effective results, evenly spread ICE FOE® over icy surfaces, using a cup, scoop, or spreader, at a rate of 1/4 to 1/2 cup per square yard. Avoid piling the product. Once melting occurs, remove slush and water to prevent refreezing. In snow depths exceeding two inches, it’s best to start with shoveling, then apply ICE FOE® to tackle any remaining ice or hard-packed snow. Remember, ice melters are not a substitute for shoveling. Overapplication can harm your landscape and won’t create a safer surface.
